Our approach
politeno collects the least amount of data needed to run the service. No tracking, no advertising cookies, no profiling, no data sold or shared for marketing.
What we collect
Your Dekimu account ID (used to store your preferences) and the settings you explicitly save — tone, language, email signature, and which scenarios you hide. We do NOT store the drafts you generate or the context you type into the Compose form. Generation is stateless. Until October 2026 this site had a waitlist form. Addresses submitted through it were forwarded to Dekimu Hub (Dekimu Labs S.L.), which holds them under its privacy policy and will delete them by 30 November 2026.
Cookies
politeno.app sets no cookies. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. Authentication and saved settings live in Dekimu Hub at app.dekimu.com — no auth cookies are set on politeno.app. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Third-party processors
Vercel (hosting). Authentication and settings storage live in Dekimu Hub at app.dekimu.com — a Dekimu Labs S.L. service, not a third party; see the Dekimu Hub privacy policy for the processors it relies on. No third parties receive your data for marketing.
International transfers
Our hosting provider, Vercel, is a US company, so personal data it handles may be accessed from, or transferred to, the United States, and US authorities may be able to access it under US law. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so these transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for that framework (Article 45 GDPR). Cryptographic receipts
If you use features that issue anchored receipts (APR, ACR, or any other Anchored Receipts protocol-family member), we process salted cryptographic commitments derived from identifiers and event metadata. Commitments are designed to be resistant to direct re-identification but remain personal data under GDPR Article 4. We process them on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in providing tamper-evident audit trails, with the retention periods set out in the Dekimu Hub privacy policy at app.dekimu.com/privacy. Anchored daily roots are non-retroactive by design: an erasure request received after a receipt has been anchored is honoured by ceasing to serve the receipt body, but the historical signature record cannot be withdrawn from the anchored root. This is disclosed before any receipt is minted.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to object to and restrict its processing, and to data portability. Use the Contact options in Dekimu ID at id.dekimu.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Governing law
